Issues resulting from children picking things up online16 November 2022 (by swans) |
Just recently we have been getting a few incidents where a small number of children have used language at school which is inappropriate for their age and in some cases is very offensive. Usually, the child has had very little idea about the meaning of what was said. It seems that some children have picked up and repeated things they have heard or seen on the internet, for example YouTube or TikTok, or in chat groups or in gaming online groups. We are often giving children at school advice about how to stay safe online, and it is always a good idea for parents to check the content that their child is accessing online. If you have any questions or would like some advice about how to help keep your child safe online and help to minimise unhelpful influences, please contact the school office.
