RSE curriculum materials for parents
Under the new statutory guidance your child is now receiving relationships and health education as part of their PSHE lessons. As part of our ongoing communication regarding this, we would like to keep parents updated with when particular topics will be taught so that parents can help to answer any further questions your child may have. To help support these conversations at home, we will provide fact sheets on key vocabulary and information and links to recommended websites and books.
Next half term, your child will be covering the Growing and Changing unit of our PSHE curriculum. Within this, they will learn the correct vocabulary for their body parts, and find out about how their body changes and grows both physically and emotionally as they grow older.
The relevant fact sheet for this unit for your child’s year group is provided. We really hope this will be useful in allowing you to support any conversations around this with your child.
